Maker's Market December

Today was the last market day in 2009.

I am always excited just before the market.

The weather is perfect for market though we are inside,

we can expect to have a lots of customer!

Today, my older daughter came with me....

She thinks she is old enough to stay in market.

well, she is 6 years old....

maybe too early for her because she is like Tom boy.

However she was going to Bendigo this afternoon

so today would be trial to see she can cope with sitting still.

When we started to set up as usual,

my daughter was already can't stay still....

Luckily my husband came to pick her up sooner after setting up,

she had gone with much energy.

I think she need to be older to come with me.

++++Lunch time++++

Kappaya (Japanese cafe)'s healthy lunch box.

It is so yummy!

If you want this,

make sure to get there early as they sold out quickly.

As we expected, we had a lot of people there,

but for sale, it was quiet as I sold only 3 rings and 2 Christmas ornaments.

However, the customers who bought my rings were repeater!

How wonderful!!

Thank you very much for liking my rings!

The last market this year was finished happily.

My market pertner U-chan,

thank you veru much for this year!

I have had a great time with you.

We will have the market next year, so we will have fun again!

Next market will be 17th January 2010.

Merry Cristmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

Handmade Christmas card

Recently, my older daughter has brought some Christmas cards

from her school friends.

This is probably tradition?

that is same as Japanese Happy New Years cards.

So I and my daughter decided to make them and

give them to her school friend and teachers.

It is easy to buy Christmas card but I want her to make her own.

We need to make cards for 18 students and 3 teachers.

.......sounds a lot!

Luckily I am working rediology department

and we use a lot of films.

When we change the film pack every time,

we get one white cardboad paper.

I sometimes collect it to uses my craft.

So I used this paper to make the card today, too.

++++preparetion++++

I made a Christmas tree shape by a thick paper, then copy to green paper.

My daugter cut them, however, she got board very soon and eventually I did for her.

Flower craft punch is very useful for decorating tree!

Here are the card.....

They look like ski resort??

Christmas sock for teacher's cards.

My daughter write inside of the card. She did good job!

Now, envelope.......

We used lunch bag.

you can see through a little bit, that is I wanted.

We will make Christmas card every this season~

Christmas tree

I have wanted to have undecorated fresh Christmas tree since we bought a house.

I have been searching for Christmas tree farm but they are always cutting one.

That means one use only and only last 1 or 2 months.

However, the price are very expensive about $80 include stand.

It is not the one I wanted...

so, I went to a nursery to have a look

if there is any that looks like Christmas tree but with pot.

Yes, I found it!

this is not tall, so my daughters can decorate it.

We are looking forward to making a pretty own christmas tree!!

Handmade Birthday party Invitation

My older daughter will turn to 6 yo next months.

That is so quick...no wonder I get old.

I like to have birthday party in our house rather than somewhere else.

Because birthday is a bit personal thing.

My house is small so we can't invite many friends but we already told to my daughter that you can only invite 6 or 7 friends.

Anyway, I have to make invitation card.

I love fabric but also love paper.

My sister in low in Japan, she sent me a pretty letter a few years ago.

I copied this pretty letter to make invitation.

Firstly I cut papers into flower shape, that will be a main part of the card.

I have some craft punches, so I used them to make colourful Sakura shape.

Then, I wrote the information of the birthday party in the card.

Hold it........., so pretty!

I made envelope by tracing paper so that you can see through the frower card.

Handmade card is fantastic, isn't it!

Fabric Addictive

I am a VIP member of Craft shop, SPOTLIGHT.

They send me a event letter about Christmas shopping night.

So, I must go!

but I always buy fabric or other every time I go there.

I promised that I would go there tonight but only having a look.

There are a few stalls that demonstrate how to make Christmas card or ornament, etc...

One of them, she was making pretty card.

I stopped and chat with her and other customer.

She gave us a plastic bag decorated by Christmas ribbon as a free gift,
that has many craft material in it.

I felt very lucky!

then I felt guilty if I didn't have a look around a shop.

But, again, I promised, just looking.....

However, my legs went toward to fabric corner without thinking!!!

I couldn't help.

I found a pretty dots cotton fabric.

Another person of my brain told me that "you don't have time to make with so many fabrics you have bought!!"

Well, I am happy just looking fabric!

Thank you effect

I like to do things making us happy♪

Now, what I have been trying is ,

when I finish the last patient, cleaning the room.

It is the things everyone to do
but mine is a little bit different from others, I guess.

I am trying to say "thank you very much" in my mind
when I wipe and clean the ultrasound machine and probes.

At the beginning, which is a few months ago,
I felt a little bit obligated but now I feel "thank you" naturally.

Then when I get the car to go home,
I really appreciated my work and it makes me feel so happy.

I have been realised "thank you" is very important
not only for someone, but also things we use everyday.

Thank you for everything!

Handmade girl's hat ++Linen X Linencotton++

I have thought I wanted to make a hat by flower pattern fabric for a long time.

Finally, I made it today!

It is reversible, outside is flower fabric

and inside is simple linen fabric.

I copied the pattern from one of my favorite craft book "Craft Cafe Kids".

I thought it would be difficult but it wasn't.

It took me only 3 and half hours.

However, it is too big for my daughters,

so, I will sell it on the Maker's market.

Soybeans?

My daughter seeded soybeans as a part of education in the Japanese Saturday school.

When I heard it, I was impressed with Japanese school,

because they would be had with beer!

Anyway, I was looking forward to have them with beer.

They have grown a lot for the last couple of months and started to come into bearing.

Unnnnn~looks like SNOW PEA??

I checked my daughter's school note and

It said,
SNOW PEA........,

Well, it was my mistake, but disappointed a bit.

However, they are certainly organic and tast yummy!

Gardening

We had just painted our front fence so it is time to make decoration.

We went to the one of a nursery shop and bought many flowers.

While my husband is organising near the front fence, I planted a few kind of herb seed into the pot.

parsley, mint, coriander and Japanese herbs.

We also bought some young strawberries.

I planted the veges and herb area of the garden.

The gardening is taking quite long time but makes us to relax and happy.

You may see some ugly bugs but you can feel everything has life.

We never live without all kinds of creature and plants.

After gardening, I feel very thankful.

That's why I like it!
